All US vehicle hired vehicles have unlimited mileage, so if you do 3,000 miles during your hire period you will not be charged any extra.

Las Vegas Car Hire Tips
Some companies, such as Hertz allow you to use the automatic machines to register for your vehicle if you have pre-paid. This saves you standing in a queue. The cheaper car hire companies do not have this facility.
The new car hire centre is a about 2-3 miles from the airport, but no worries, as a bus service runs every few minutes from both terminals 24 hours a day.
Remember to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, unless you took the option to pay in advance for a tank full.

Las Vegas Driving Tips
Drive on the RIGHT. You will be surprised how many accidents are caused by this, especially after a long flight. Be especially careful when turning left.
You can turn right on a red light, it is within the law, unless it clearly states on a sign 'No right turn on red'. Most right-hand lanes are for right turns only.
Stop signs mean just that. Stop! They have these signs at places we usually have roundabouts in the UK.
Unlike the UK, US speedometers are correct. 75mph is 75mph.

Hire Car Insurance
When you book a hire car from the UK it will automatically include all taxes and insurance that is required in the USA. When you go to collect the vehicle some companies will try and sell you additional insurance. Make it clear you do not want it, nor do you want to pay for an upgrade.
Car Collection
When you are at the car hire centre you will need to queue for your vehicle, however some are much faster than others, and from experience, the cheaper the company is that you use the longer you usually wait, but it is never more than 30 minutes, wherea a company at the more expensive end, such as Hertz, are usually done in 5 minutes. Regardless of time waiting, all vehicles are of good quality.
Vehicle Damage -
IMPORTANT
Before you drive off, check the vehicle for any significant damage, and note this clearly on the form provided in the car. On exit, the man at the gate will verify the damage and you will not get the blame.
